Summer To-Do List: Done!

Well, we didn’t finish everything on our Summer To-Do List but we did pretty good, considering our summer weather didn’t start until August.  Boo.

This weekend, we camped in a tent in our backyard.  So fun!  Not the best night of sleep in my life, but we were in bed by 9:30 pm, which is probably a record for me.

We started the night off right with smores with Auntie Jeannie.

And got out our flashlights.

And played trains.

The tent is still set up, which I now think of as our “backyard cabana” instead of just a tent.  I might just take a nap in it this afternoon.

The Summer To-Do List was a success!  I’ve already started our fall list but am cutting it down to just 20 items for September through November.  Here’s what we didn’t finish this summer:

  • Kayak
  • Go to the drive-in
  • Go on a hike
  • Make gluten-free crusty bread from scratch {I bought a mix and am moving this to our fall list}
  • Play in the Puget Sound at Dash Point State Park
  • Take Matt’s ’58 Chevy Impala out for a Sunday drive {need to get seatbelts installed in the backseat}
  • Go to a Mariner’s game {next year – I don’t think Mason would have sit still for this}

It’s supposed to be in the 80’s all week so we might splash around Dash Point State Park and venture into the woods.  Our farewell week to summer!
